Labour ComplianceThe Government of Jharkhand on May 25, 2026, revised Holiday Declaration for Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) in Jharkhand.

The Government of Jharkhand has revised the public holiday for Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) for 2026. Earlier, a holiday was declared for May 27, 2026 (Wednesday) under Notification No. 7244 dated December 10, 2025. However, based on the actual sighting of the moon, the festival will now be observed on May 28, 2026 (Thursday).

Accordingly, May 28, 2026 has been declared a public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and May 27, 2026 will no longer be a holiday, and all State Government offices will function as usual on that day.

The earlier notification stands amended to reflect this change, while all other provisions remain unchanged.
